Hello everyone and apologies for beginner's question - but honestly can't find any advice on UNESCO site or anywhere in the Internet.
Do you know how frequently the wall maps are published by UNESCO? I found it quite entertaining to hang it in my room and pin the sites I've visited - but the last edition is 2019/2020, missing quite a few new places (not that I've been to them, but it's about staying up to date). Thought it's printed yearly but apparently it's not - any ideas when 2021/2022 (or 2022/2023?) may be released?
Thanks in advance!

Hi @usagi1974.
You may have done so already but if you look at the "News" section on this Web page (scroll down) you will see the publication dates of all the recent Wall maps. You can see that there is quite a variation with no obviuos pattern. There will not of course have been a 2020/21 Wall map as there was no WHC in 2020 to add any sites. Based on those dates one might expect the 2021/22 Map to be published relatively soon but I don't think that any of those using this Web site have any particular inside knowledge regarding the workings of the World Heritage Centre!!! The 2021 "Fuzhou" meeting (14 Jul -31 Jul) was a bit later than the 2018 Manama one (24 Jun - 4 Jul) which itself resulted in a 17 May 2019 publication and, no doubt, Covid issues could be used to "excuse" some further delay! One would presume that an objective might be to have the new map published well before the subsequent WHC....... but that will be another story which will unfold in the weeks to come....!

Thanks for letting me discover this beautiful map! If I am not totally off, the map itself is distributed freely, and only the shipping cost needs to be paid for, right? How nice from UNESCO!

I still have my 2002 version, though it's slowly degrading inside a shipping container with all of my other things. ;-)
