In 2007 the WH committee endorsed a policy document on climate change which included a list of research priorities on the subject. I did my MA thesis on a case study vulnerability analysis for CC on a site in Ireland and am wondering if anyone else out there is conducting or knows of other research?
It seems to me there is a real need for connection between researchers at different WH sites. I get the feeling there's lots being done in parallel but it's hard to make those sideways connections (especialy if the work is unpublished). If the secretatriat weren't so overworked I would suggest they set up a database of all the research (incl. university projects and theses) relating to WH - I don't think there is anything like that as yet?

I was lucky enough to visit the Monarch Butterfly Reserve in Mexico (as a tourist) last year. Since then I have researched the subject a bit and am aware that "Climate Change" is a significant issue for that site. The research and concerns have also been the subject of a BBC report publicised at the commencement of the Monarchs' return this winter.

about 10 years ago they altered the A249 road near me.after the work was complete i noticed that cowslips had started to grow.i had never seen them growing wild in this area
before,even as a child i used to walk in this location.the only place i had seen them growing
wild was on the isle of wight.is this due to their range increasing northwards or imported soil.
if this is the case how long can the seeds remain dormant in the soil waiting for the right
conditions.
