WHS The Prehistoric Sites of the Khorramabad Valley

This is a remarkable one that I had not heard about before. It is hard to get verified reports anyhow.

what has been damaged is Falak ol Aflak Castle in Khorramabad city and the 2 have been linked together. "Another historical monument that has joined the list of casualties of the ongoing war is Falak ol Aflak in Khorramabad, Iran, which has been damaged by wartime airstrikes. Falak-ol-Aflak Castle dates back to the Sassanid Empire, particularly to the reign of Shapur I in the 3rd century CE. According to Iran International, "The prehistoric sites of the Khorramabad Valley in Iran, including five caves and one rock shelter, have been added to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage List."
In fact the Falak ol Aflak Castle sits around 500m from the nearest point within the inscribed Ghamari Cave core zone

another article says this "There also was verified damage at buildings close to the Khorramabad Valley, which includes five prehistoric caves and one rock shelter providing evidence of human occupation dating to 63,000 BC.
