Happy New Year from the damp environs of the United States! This past year I was fortunate to visit some unforgettable sites, including Iceland, Devon and Cornwall, the Canadian and US Rockies, World War I battlefields in Belgium, and the incomparable Inca Trail in Peru, all of which left great memories. Though I don't yet have many travel plans for 2019 fully solidified, save for a Spanish sojourn, I'm looking forward to what lies ahead. Hope 2019 provides all of you with many great opportunities to travel!

Happy New Year from Vietnam! Keep the steady flow of reviews going!

2018 was an extraordinary WH year for me: 42 new sites visited (including the new entries), the most succesful year since my RTW trip in 2011.
My top 6 favourites among those 42 were:
- Pyramids
- Meteora
- Namib Sandsea
- Svaneti
- West Norwegian Fjords
- Wadi al-Hitan

And I started 2019 in good spirits: just spent the whole day in various public buses to visit an obscure TWHS for half an hour.

Tratry ny taona! (Happy New Year, in Malagasy)

For me, the only good thing about 2018 was the 7 WHSs I visted, the only ones I have seen in several years.

However, I expect 2019 will be a much better year for me, since I will begin another period of long-term travel in April! It is possible that I will see 150, or more, new sites on this tour, though only some of these visits (~35) will be in 2019.

Best of luck to everyone here. :-)

Happy New Year from a slightly disoriented Meltwaterfalls family, we "celebrated" it somewhere over Canada I think.

2018 was my lowest count on record, two new site visits! But we had a lot on and the plans for 2019 are looking up.

Hopefully I can see more of you next year, if anyone is coming through Southern England feel free to drop me a line.
