Does anyone have €27-35 million to spare?
If so I have found a great way for you to spend it.

You can buy Casa Vincens designed by Antoni Gaudi and part of the Works of Gaudi WHS.

I stumbled upon the website as part of our search for all the Official webpages. It is a rather beautiful website and it should be noted that it is available in English, Arab, Japanese, Russian and Chinese... but not in Spanish or Catalan.

The new owner will be obliged to open the building to the public and will not be able to make any alterations without permission from Barcelona city council.

To be honest I am really surprised that you can buy this, I know UNESCO and private ownership are not best bed-fellows. But at least part of the stipulation is that it has to be opened to the public, but maybe that can be in the form of 1 open day a year or the like.

If anyone does fancy buying it I will waive my 5% finders fee if you give me a job there!

Whilst not quite a World Heritage Site. The Cuadra San Cristobal is perhaps the most logical extension to Casa Barragan, and it seems it is up for sale. To my eye it is the stand out piece of work from his Oeuvre, alas I didn't get to see it on my recent visit.

Now the asking price is pretty high, but I'm sure if we club together perhaps we can purchase it as a community and push it through as an extension to the WHS? I will selflessly put myself forward as some sort of live-in custodian whilst we work up the nomination dossier For a reasonable stipend of course :).

Just give me the nod and I will set up the kick starter page.

If you had known it was up for sale you could have asked the estate agent for a "viewing"!! I can't see "No time wasters" on the advert.

Yep dreadful timing. We could have taken the route you outlined in your recent review of Las Pozas at Xilitla. Bought it and tried to turn it into a promotional site, I'm sure there would be some paint manufactures out there interested in joining our consortium.
