UKFor the UK, I think there are a few simple places that may warrant discussion:
Windsor Castle
Cliffs of Dover.
In addition, we don't have much modern architecture in the UK. Also, several of the islands (Wight, Man, Scilly, Jersey / Guernsey) may warrant a look.
IrelandFor Ireland, Cliffs of Moher are on everyone's itinerary.
EuropeModern architecture is not listed for every country. Some sites to consider:
* Paris: Centre Pompidou, La Defense, La Villette
* Spain: Valencia Ciudad de la Sciencia
