Full name of site: Shwedagon Pagoda
Country: Myanmar
Short description of site (also include multiple locations if applicable): The 2500 years old iconic golden pagoda in Yangon is the most sacred place in the country.
Criteria (cultural, natural, mixed): I, IV, VI
Outstanding universal value / comparative analysis: This is the best example of Burmese style pagoda apart of Bagan, in the totally different style, it is also the symbol of Buddhism of Myanmar as well as its nationhood. Comparing with other important pagodas in the region such as Pagoda in Kathmandhu, Sanchi or Anuradhapura, Shwedagon is considered unique with beautiful design and its gold, one of the most beautiful place in Asia.

Definitely one of the world's most iconic buildings. High Atheistic Value, High Spiritual Value. This will likely get my vote for top 50.

Also this building contains amazing amounts of precious gems and metals. Gold Plates cover the entire edifice: the Top has 5,448 diamonds and 2,317 rubies, and one 15 gram Diamond at the very top. Truly Amazing

I don't think you can count it as being 2500 years old. It has been rebuilt many times after it was damaged by earthquakes or war.
