Full name of site: Palaces of Yalta
Country: Ukraine
Short description of site (also include multiple locations if applicable): during the 19th century, Yalta was a popular retreat for the Russian aristocracy. this led to a number of palaces, in widely varying and eclectic styles being built in Yalta and the surrounding area. Later on, one of the Palaces was used for the important Yalta conference of 1945. The palaces of Yalta provide an architectural testament to an significant age in the history of Russia and the world, were the upper class built large residences for themselves.
Criteria (cultural, natural, mixed): II, IV, VI
Outstanding universal value / comparative analysis: comparable to several similar areas around the world, and two sites currently on the WHS (Sintra, and Palaces of Potsdam and Berlin) illustrates and important phase of human history, and is very aesthetically pleasing, showcasing the new value placed on that attribute, and the diversity of architectural styles during the late 1800s.

Whilst they would probably be a worth while site I don't think I would support this for for the top 50. There is already a large amount of European Palaces on the list and I don't think it is an area that needs extra representation.
