The site also contains an unarmed Minuteman missile. one of the best preserved missile launch facilities in the U.S.A. the site bears an important testament to a significant event in recent history: the cold war. the site also displays advancements in warfare that affected the entire world. Criteria (cultural, natural, mixed): I, IV, VI Outstanding universal value / comparative analysis: There are no comparable sites currently on the WHS list. the site is similar with the Titan Missile Museum in Arizona. However, the site might score more points for being less vulnerable to development because it is under government control, and the Titan site is not. |
