Durian:
UCN's new publication on Natural World Heritage in Oceania suggest more sites to be WHS

What a great find Durian.

I have just seen there are further recommendations for TWHS.

France is encouraged to propose a terrestrial natural site for New Caledonia.
Some further recommendations include:
Fiji - Great Astrolobe Reef
Hawaii - dry and moist forests
Vanuatu - Kuwae Caldera; Vatthe karst area
Tonga - Ha'apai Islands
Solomons - Save Island; Marovo Lagoon and Arnavon Islands
Samoa - Le Pupu-Pue NP
France - Tahiti (terrestrial)
And many more

The recommendations are then prioritised on page 98, including several recommendations of serial sites.

There appears to be a campaign to inscribe the Phare du Créac'h (a lighthouse on the island of Ouessant, in Brittany) as a WHS. More info is here:

Sorry if this has been mentioned before (or if this is the wrong forum). I searched but did not see anything.

Good find. I have already visited this lighthouse (the museum that is there in fact, you cannot go up to the top of the lighthouse itself as a tourist), photogenic with its black and white painting near a wild coast where the waves crash on the rocks, I will sign the petition, even if in the Bay of Biscay that would still make 3 lighthouses (Tower of Hercules, Cordouan). The list has dozens of churches, it may well have 3 lighthouses listed as such. I am sure that this lighthouse would come out in the top if we were to do a comparative study of lighthouses (it is aesthetic, historical and technically important).

This proposal actually looks good and I think it makes sense. I am pnly slightly sad that any collaboration with Latvia and others seems to have been ditched. But it's also true that Grobina can't compare concretely.

Ukraine, together with Moldova and Romania, will prepare a nomination dossier to propose the Trypillia culture for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications announced on September 18. The proposed heritage object will be titled "The Cultural Complex Precucuteni–Ariusd–Cucuteni–Trypillia: Architectural Heritage."
