Agree entirely with the intention - a problem of course with many of the earlier UNESCO sites where little or no boundary info was given.
In fact "Paris -Banks of Seine" in 1991 was better than many and the inscription states
"The section includes the banks of the Seine in the truly historic part of its course, from Pont Sully to Pont d'lena, with Ile de la Cite and Ile Saint-Louis in between. The proposed section also includes the following buildings and sites along the banks: Place Saint-Germain-I'Auxerrois; the ensemble composed of the Louvre palace and the Tuileries gardens; Place de la Concorde with the axis Church of the Madeleine-Assemblee Nationale; the Hotel des
lnvalides and its esplanade- the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais des Champs-Elysees; Ecole Militaire- Champ-de-Mars- the Eiffel Tower- the Palais de Chaillot and the Trocadero gardens. " - Pantheon is out I think as "BANKS" are obviously very imprtant. Similarly I would remove "La Boheme" from the opera conections as Cafe Momus is/was in the Latin Quarter too - and not near enough to the Seine.
Bauhaus Dessau does have a UNESCO "locations" section which lists 5 buildings/groups - the Kornhaus Restaurant on the banks of the river is NOT included. I found this excellent site on vitising the Bauhaus sites by the way - worth a link on the site?
