Regarding "Timeline", would it be possible to add Sort by "Chronological order" (from Archean to Built in the 20th century).

no, unfortunately not at the moment, that's why I made https://www.worldheritagesite.org/blog/timeline-2025/

we can add it in the future (it needs a supporting table or view with the order), but it is low on the priority list
i will put it on the enhancement list

Can I be absolutely pedantic and suggest that the definition for the new connection "Built in the second half of the 20th century" should read:

These WHS were all constructed between the end of World War II (~1946) and 2001 (instead of 2000)

Jurre:
Can I be absolutely pedantic

If we are going to be absolutelty, absolutely pedantic the phrase "These WHS were all constructed between the end of World War II (~1946) and 2001" is ambiguous because it isn't absolutely clear whether the years are inclusive or exclusive. Indeed it seems to mix them does it not so 1946 is included whilst 2001 (which was not still the 20th C) is excluded??? Better to say simply "These WHS were all constructed between the end of World War II and end of 2000"??

The Four Lifts now have 11 connections. Let's add some more.

Connection: Brick architecture

The Four Lifts – The buildings housing the hydraulic machinery needed for operating the lifts, and the houses for the use of the operators are in brick. - The staff family homes were built using local materials: red brick and two types of blue stone for the façades. (Nomination file, p. 51)

Connection: Industrial Landscapes

The Four Lifts – "Together with the Canal itself and its associated structures, they constitute a remarkably well preserved and complete example of a highly technical industrial landscape at the end of the 19th century." (OUV)

Connection: Reinforced Concrete

The Four Lifts – In 1894, after the completion of the masonry, the construction of the last three elevators was stopped following problems with the waterproofing of the channel between elevators number 3 and 4. The ground there was riddled with old coal mining and water was flowing into the mine galleries. It was necessary to establish a concrete basin, reinforced in places, with a thickness of between 15 and 20 centimetres over a length of 2,600 meters. (Wikipedia)

The end.

New connection proposal:

Connection: Veit Stoss

Definition: Veit Stoss (before 1450 – 1533) was a leading German sculptor, mostly working with wood, whose career covered the transition between the late Gothic and the Northern Renaissance. (Wikipedia)

This connection gathers WHS connected to life and/or work of Veit Stoss.

Bamberg – Bamberg Cathedral: "The southern transept contains a large Nativity altar made of basswood by the artist Veit Stoss in 1520–3." (Wikipedia)

Florence – Ognissanti: "Over the door to the sacristy is a crucifix in wood by Veit Stoss." (Wikipedia)

Kraków – "Our Lady of the Assumption, the main church of the city. (...) It contains a masterpiece by Weit Stoss, a large five-paneled high altar executed in the period 1477-1489." (Nomination file, p. 7) (Wikipedia) - Veit lived and worked in Kraków for almost twenty years, from 1477–1496. The tomb of Casimir IV in Wawel Cathedral is also designed by him. (Wikipedia)

Connections:
* Harald Bluetooth: Jelling, Borgring & other Viking fortresses, Haithabu (extended Danewerk). Roskilde claims to be build on top of the original foundations of the 1st church by Harald Bluetooth (myth).

* South Jutland Hotspot (Centre is Kolding): Jelling, Haithabu, Viking Fortresses (Odense and many more), Christiansfeld, Wadden Sea (Esbjerg).
Several of the Copenhagen hotspot sites should be moved here. Jelling is not a day trip from Copenhagen. Neither is Christiansfeld.

Note: Borgring is actually the better Copenhagen hotspot connection as there is a direct and hourly bus.

Yesterday I made https://www.worldheritagesite.org/connections/components-excluded-from-inscription/?sort=name&sort_dir=asc&page=1

But this morning I remembered that we already had https://www.worldheritagesite.org/connections/part-of-cultural-nomination-rejected/?sort=name&sort_dir=asc&page=1

I actually like the newer one better as it is more precise, but the older one covers a broader timescale during the whole nomination process. Will have a look how I can present those better.

I actually wondered how they were different when I saws you made the new connection. They are definitely thematically connected, so I'd suggest one connection refers to the other in the description.

As you say, one if broader in timescale than the other, so I'd suggest that is your defining difference.
- Components excluded from inscription: excludes components upon inscription, and these need to be referred to in the decision.
- Part of Cultural nomination rejected: components were originally proposed, but cut during the nomination process and before the final decision

https://www.worldheritagesite.org/connections/reduced-from-broader-twhs/?sort=name&sort_dir=asc&page=1https://forum.worldheritagesite.org/

what is about the Connection "Reduced from broader WHS" ?
This would only refer to TWHS which are reduced before nomination?
So when is the threshold between Tentative and Nominated site?
Bulgarian Danube Limes falls under this criteria,
but the drop of the Italian paper mill is also still falling under thus criteria?
