Sorry for that, it's already on the list. My fault, it was late last night...

Connection: Water Wheels

I believe that the Water Management System of Augsburg has at least two functioning water wheels: Wasserrad am Vogeltor and Wasserrad am Schwalllech. Both the Vogeltor and the Schwalllech are part of the 22 elements that make up the WHS.

Connection: Prison

Parts of the Dutch Water Defence Lines have been used a a prison. Very famous in the Netherlands (in the Canon of Dutch History) is that Loevestein Castle was a state prison in the 17th century in which Hugo de Groot was kept as political prisoner. After WWII some of the forts have been used as a prison, like Fort near Edam.

Connection: Notable Bridges
Since the Upper Bridge (Obere Brücke) of Bamberg features in almost all randomly googled pictures of the town (even on our own page), I would already give it credits for being a notable bridge. But also, UNESCO states for the OUV: 'Of particular interest is the way in which the present town illustrates the link between agriculture (market gardens and vineyards) and the urban distribution centre.' This where the bridge played its notable role in the past, see for example here.

Connection: Tunnels
The town of Bamberg also has a significant historic network of tunnels, part of which can be visited.

Connection Olympic Venues: Dutch Water Defence Lines

At the 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam, the men's cycling event (a time trial over a distance of 168 km) went from the former Hembrug near Zaandam via Spaarndam, Haarlem, ..., to Scheveningen, and back (wiki in Dutch). Thus, crossing the core zone of the Dutch Water Defence Lines twice.

Ivrea should be removed from the European Route of Industrial Heritage Connection, as it is not an Anchor Point, and the connection states it only includes "WHS which are "anchor points" within the European Route of Industrial Heritage (ERIH)".

Other Anchor Points that are not yet included:

I wasn't completely through with the new connections for the Plain of Jars, so here are the remaining new connections:

Connection: Salt

Plain of Jars – "The distribution of the sites may be connected to overland routes. The early French researcher Madeleine Colani suggested that the location of the jars sites was linked to ancient trade routes and in particular to the salt trade. Colani assumed salt was a commodity sought after by the Plain of Jars people, bringing traders to the Xiengkhuang Plateau." (Nomination file, p. 36-37)

Connection: Stone Quarries

Plain of Jars – "This serial property of 15 components contains 1325 of these large carved stone jars, stone discs (possibly lids for the jars), secondary burials, grave markers, quarries, manufacturing sites, grave goods and other features." (OUV) – "In most cases, quarry sites are located near to the locations of the jars, and the stages of manufacturing can be discerned." – "Site 21 is associated with Site 1 and is the largest quarry site, containing in situ evidence of each step of the quarrying process." – "Sites 8 and 21 are quarry sites" (AB Ev)

Connection: Tombs

Plain of Jars – "The megalithic stone jars are evidence for vernacular burial tradition. Human remains have been found inside and buried around the stone jars." (Nomination file, p. 34-35)

Connection: Syriac Churches

Quanzhou – Site of Deji Gate: "Archaeological excavations in 2001 revealed the extent of the site, as well as carvings relating to Hinduism, Nestorianism, Islam and Buddhism during the Song and Yuan Dynasties." (AB Ev)
