the connection pre-Incan sites refers to cultures which predated the Incan Empire.
The new connection is different - referring to colonial cities built over ruined Inca cities centuries later. There are exactly three such instances two of which are not connected in the pre-Inca connection: Quito and Cuzco.

By proposing the connection galleries in palaces I meant those "very long rooms" which are situated in many monumental palaces, but you are right it is not specific enough: galleries longer than for example 50 metres should be included.
It is also right that the connection pulpits isn't specific enough but it would be an interesting one if we would make it more specific, but I don't know which rules we should use. I meant however those monumental ones in churches...

I have a few contentious ones and wasn't sure what to do with them.

Firstly in the cities over 3000 years old, whatever may happen to them.
Sulamain-Too – It is in the city of Osh which celebrated its 3000th birthday in 2000. The WHS includes some parts of the outskirts of the city, whether they are over 3000 years old I don't know. The inscribed area includes Stone Age and Bronze Age sites.

I can't remember if we ever got to the bottom of the river banks question.

If we are using the general course of the river instead of things not being directly on them then I have two more to propose.

Guadaquivir River: Cordoba, Doñana National Park and Seville (The three inscribed sites are all roughly 400 meters from the river, however the river is an integral part of the location of the city). Also Cerro de la Caldera and Morciguilla de la Cepera which are part of the Rock Art of the Iberian Peninsula inscription sit on the banks of the Rio Guadalen which is a tributary of the Guadalquivir.

River Gambia: Niokolo-Koba National Park, James Island and associated sites. The two Gambian groups of Stone Circles are on the course of (the advisory body report refers to them being on the banks of) the River Gambia however the closest it actually gets is about 1.5km from the site at Wassu. Here the link is more cultural as the sites were built along the fertile surrounds of the river, however the river now flows a little distance away from the inscribed areas.
