Two New Reports that Identify Gaps on the World Heritage List

Natural Marine Heritage in the Arctic Ocean April 2017
- The Bering Strait Ecoregion (including St. Lawrence Island)
- Remnant Arctic Multi-Year Sea Ice and the Northeast Water Polynya Ecoregion
- The Northern Baffin Bay Ecoregion
- Disko Bay and Store Hellefiskebanke Ecoregion
- The Scoresby Sound Polynya Ecoregion
- High Arctic Archipelagos
- The Great Siberian Polynya

Current Tentative Nominations (2)
- Quttinirpaaq (Canada)
- Svalbard Archipelago (Norway)

IUCN Gap Analysis "World Heritage in the High Seas" July 2016
- The Costa Rica Thermal Dome
- The White Shark Café
- The Sargasso Sea
- The Lost City Hydrothermal Field
- The Atlantis Bank

Current Tentative Nominations (1)
- California Current Conservation Complex (USA)
*Not part of The White Shark Café, but part of the migration route
