I like these two, among the more interesting ones that have been added recently.

And we have a -1 to 1857

It is Royal Belum State Park (Malaysia) that has been removed. Quite surprising. Or maybe it's just a prelude to a new Malaysian T List.

Cool! I am going to Moldova next week. Although these components seem very obscure...

Cucuteni-Trypillia Civilization 20/04/2026

It seems that Ukraine's selection was reduced at some point, considering both its smaller size compared to Romania and Moldova and the numerous mentions of settlements in the description that are not official components. Six of the components match up with the ones that were planned for inclusion a few years ago (with the exception of Polyvaniv Yar which was ultimately left out), with the other five (Zabolotne-Ternivka-Soniachne, Volodymyrivka, Hlybochok, Dobrovody, and Hlubochok) being new additions.

As far as I am aware, possibly the best location to visit a Cucuteni-Trypillia site is Cucuteni in Romania, which is excavated under a pavilion. In Ukraine, there were some excavations in Talianky but I am not sure whether they are accessible, and the only excavated CT site there I know of is in Busha, which is not an official component (although it is part of a historic reserve so there's a chance that it might join in the future). I suppose Zhvanets can be an easy visit when traveling between Kamianets-Podilskyi (TWHS) and Khotyn (known for its fortress), and though the site does not look particularly exciting (street view), at least it's not hidden under a field like most of these sites. There are museums in Lehedzyne (not far from Talianky and includes a couple reconstructed buildings) and in Trypillia (1 and 2). No clue about Moldova, though I find it interesting that they decided not to include Orheiul Vechi, which is already a TWHS.

Maybe the eponymous site, Cucuteni, in Romania, is the best place.

Now that I'm looking into it, the excavated site at Cucuteni is a Dacian tomb dating to the 4th century, although the exhibition contains some Cucuteni-Trypillia artifacts. Piatra Neamt seems to have a nice museum dedicated to the CT culture (though not sure whether the archaeological site there is accessible). Also forgot to mention, the Verteba Cave in Ukraine is accessible with a tour; some remains are visible and scenes are recreated involving pottery and human figures. Finally, there's another museum in Pereiaslav.

Shwabb1:
It seems that Ukraine's selection was reduced at some point

The Ministry of Culture posted an article today claiming that Ukraine's selection consists of 15 sites located in 8 regions, although the description on the UNESCO website only lists 11 sites in 6 regions. So maybe this was not an intentional reduction but rather a mistake? The tentative site description mentions many non-listed sites but there are exactly two located in other regions: Polyvaniv Yar (Chernivtsi Oblast) and Horodsk (Zhytomyr Oblast), which would bring the total number of regions covered to 8 but is two components short of 15. Alternatively, the ministry made a mistake.

Edit: the "State, Province or Region" field on the UNESCO website mentions Bukovyna (within Chernivtsi Oblast) and Polissia (which includes Zhytomyr Oblast) so it is quite likely that Polyvaniv Yar and Horodsk are two of the four missing components.
