In preparation for an upcoming trip, I have added 8 POIs to Anuradhapura. This helps clarify our map as well (unfortunately, the official map is so poor that I can't draw a core zone map).

If someone could look at the Qin Mausoleum. I added most points of interest, but in the Mausoleum area, there are several points missing. Those require Chinese reading skills (for amap).

Chendge is in desparate need of a Chinese speaker. The current map is missing so many POIs and does not give a good idea of the site.

For The Four Lifts, maybe the four separate lifts can be designed POI? And the Machine Hall for Lift 3? It is generally open to the public, I think.

I understood it is open during tours.

Last time I visited (in April 2025) it was open and I could go inside. I also thought it was only open during tours, but apparently it's also open when no tours are happening. It could be I was lucky some workmen were there, but they were not particularly working on the interior. I asked if I could go inside and they very casually sad yes. I didn't have the impression it was a one of occurence.

A little question: how/from where does one get the coordinates expressed in this way? I only know how to get coordinates expression in N/S/E/W, with degrees

Find the exact spot you want on Google Maps and with a PC right click on cursor....or on Android just press on it.. I dont know apple but it will be similar
