TWHS Count Deviations

The keen TWHS counters in this community will have noticed that since the migration, their total of visited TWHS as shown in their profile has been lower than before (mine was about 10% less)

I have finally narrowed this down to the following issues, and I come close to explaining all now, at least in my own count.
1. Of course we have just had the WHC. 26 sites were inscribed, the ones you ticked already have to be deducted from your total.
2. We have 5 TWHS not migrated yet (listed below): adding the TWHS isn't much of an issue, but we have to do a mini-migration for them as we want all related data, reviews etc to come with it. On our to do list.
3. We have made the design choice for the new website to show nominated sites for 2026-2028 as a little bit different from normal tentative sites. Every nominated site still equals one tentative site, but serial transnational nominated sites show and count as one.
4. We had an issue during the migration with "former nominated sites" : sites we once had at the old website listed as nominated, but at a certain point in time reverted to normal tentative sites. The 'ticks' for these have not been migrated (list will follow in the next message).

Let's see what the impact is of all 4 items. If you keep meticulous track of your TWHS count and are willing to help with testing, please reach out to me via els@worldheritagesite.org.

The 5 totally missing are:
Lake Chad Cultural Landscape (Nigeria and others, serial transnational)
Monuments and Forts of the Deccan Sultanate
The Danube Limes in Bulgaria
Vestfold Ship Burials and Hyllestad Quernstone Quarries
Beech forests extension

So if you have ticked one or more of these, they will not be in your TWHS count at the moment.

The transnational nominations for 2026-2028 are:
- China-Egypt hydrological sites (China, Egypt)
- Memorials to the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War (Belarus, Russia)
- European Paper Mills (Czechia, Germany, Poland)
- Silk Roads: Fergana-Syrdarya Corridor (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan)
- The State of the Pyrenees (Andorra, Spain, France)
- Workers' Assembly Halls (Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Denmark)

So if you have visited components of those in more than one country, these will not count anymore towards the total.

Regarding these, we would kindly ask you to 'tick' them again yourself, as it would be a great pain for us to retrieve those.

You can do so via Add a New Visit from your WHS Traveller menu on the dashboard after logging in.
When you choose a date in the clear past for "Visited on", they will not be shown on the homepage as recently visited.
You may cluster them all together in one administrative visit cluster.
If you remember the exact dates, you may of course add those too.

After saving, wait an hour or two before the counts are updated on your profile page.
