I had fun guessing which country it was without clicking the site link itself. I was successful with Belarus, but don't know if I'd guess between a mausoleum between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan for example!

I see some information previously available on a connection webpage has now disappeared. For example, there were explanations regarding each entry for the connections "language isolate" or "writing systems", but now some of them are blank.

This bug is already known, "The disappearing rationales". We are looking into it. The data has been migrated but does not show after a refresh of a site page (so some show and some don't - at the latter I have refreshed the corresponding site page such as Peruacu)

I just wrote my first review in the new system (Stecci Montenegro), it is a draft at the moment. From my handy I uploaded 3 pictures, in the images-section I have now 8 pictures. But in the review, when I try to add a picture, it says that I haven't uploaded any images yet. I think I should be able to choose from my 8 pictures there, but I see no pictures at all.
Is this a bug or a mistake from my side?

Hello. I have seen the same. I uploaded the pics including tags but the site still says I haven't uploaded any if I want to use it later. Basically I had to reupload them and delete the old one from the image viewer.

Secondly I would suggest a inline options for these pics. They are small and would do well being inline. Another issue is that the pics are all horizontal without any option to rotate for better views. You can see the latest review I submitted for moderator to see what I mean. I guess I'd have to rotate all of these myself first?

We are looking into this as it has been reported above already. The best workaround seems to be to load them to Images first and then later select them in the Review.


You can align them right or left, or choose full-width. Or do I misunderstand what you mean?


This is a known error caused by the way some phone cameras store photos. And yes, until a solution has been found, you will need to turn them around yourself. See Photo F.A.Q.

Image handling is tricky and non trivial. Especially when you upload large pictures and many and you have a bad connection. And to be clear: In the old site nothing of this would have worked, so this is an improvement.


That option always existed. -> Edit and pick alignment.


Technically those images are rotated. It's just adjusted on display. Anyhow, this should be fixed for new pictures as we rotate them on upload. Note: This again increases processing need and latency.

Last but not least: We added a new format to place / show a caption with each image.

It's good that this is better. Definitely an upgrade. I just feel on mobile there are more limitations than web. I'll get to try on a laptop instead and give feedback on the inline pictures.

Also if one enters random "not found" stuff in the main page search box and presses enter (e.g. "Els!") it will throw an odd

It was odded before the search box was info was loaded but I cannot reproduce that error. I just feel a different error would help.

When I tried to post something in the connection with the rupee sign it kept throwing me errors too. I would expect ot to change into funny squares if not supported but "the page isn't working" is a bit harsh. Might be other characters too and maybe the situation is "normal" for most posts.

cant reproduce the rupee issue in the cms. but it happens in the forum. normally points to waf settings. but without IP (email) i cant debug.

I tried to see my review of Kalozha Church in Hrodna I wrote last year but it disappeared from the site... A bug?
