I'm not sure this is the right forum thread, but I'll give it a go :-)
I don't intend to critizise Nan, I think the website is faboulus now, but I have a few questions.
1. When I click on edit on already registered visit - the "visited on" date is removed. Is that intentional og accidental?
2. I don't quite understand my country statistics - this "year completed"!
The info (or featured review about a revised profile page) states:
"Completed countries: a pop-up screen has been added to show what you are still lacking per country, and in which year you last had the country complete."
My completed countries seem correct but these "year you last had the country complete" confuses me.
For instance I didn't complete Ethiopia in 1979 (I have never completed it), but I have completed all the Ethiopian sites inscribed in 1979. Is that the case?
For Japan I didn't complete in 2010 (I have never completed this coutry either) and there are no Japanese sites inscribed in 2010.

I have re-registered all my sites on the correct date, but it seems that doesn't matter for the statitistics.
Is there anything I can do to improve this statistic? Aren't my registrations correct - and that reflects in my statistics?

That is a bug, not intended.

Yes, that is the intended way. So you could have Italy complete up and until 2024, but are missing the 2025 inscription (that is what I have).

This means you have Japan complete up and until Iwami Ginzan, but you don't have the 2011 ones Hiraizumi and Ogasawara. Is that correct? The 'empty' years in between you get for free, you stay complete.

that it loses the data is not intentional. what was intended: i relaxed the rule on visits needing a date as some users were complaining on not having a date for a visit.

yep. i wanted people to keep their completions even if a whc breaks it up. so you get the last year for which you completed it. now, we could say it only counts if the visit was prior ... but lets not go there. i can think about the wording.

The galleries are working. But some pictures may show multiple times and the number shown ... is off. But well, needs a bit more time.

Hi, I think that the galleries also used to show the images from the Reviews, but they don't right now? I'm not a 100% certain, though.

Added an issue to the backlog. This will probably require a pre calc job as it's just to cumbersome (and error prone) to compute on demand.

Hi Nan

Since yesterday I cannot login anymore on my Desktop (Windows, Chrome). I just click on "Sign in", but nothing happens at all, it just goes back on the main page. On my iPhone it works.

As a workaround, use: https://www.worldheritagesite.org/cms/login

We are aware of the issue, more people have experienced it.

I am hopeful to have the sign in it fixed. It was imho caused by trying to fix the login problems of a single user. And that made it the logon problems of every user. I do have >300 regression tests set up, but CSRF is a difficult topic.

As safety measure, I also added the CMS link as a fallback. That is out of the box and will work.

And some new things:
1) The titles are a bit harmonised.
2) ... We now have a rating modal. For logged in users, you can rate on each page directly. I will also migrate the full rating form to this modal.

Okay, seeing this was a cookie issue, you may have to clear your browser (at least all data related to this website).

I'm not sure how to log a visit anymore to be honest. I'm sure you guys are doing a marvellous job, but I'm lost. A few months ago I visited Bauhaus sites in Dessau and logged them. I'm currently in Weimar. Are all Bauhaus sites just one visit, ever? Is the same true for massive WHS, like lots and lots of stops along the Limes or the Primeval Beech Forest sites across various countries? I'd use this site to see what I got and what's still missing, but I can't see which specific sites of large combined sites I've already visited and which not.

Would it not be a lot easier to go from the description site of a WHS directly to the logging form?

Not really a technical issue. More a user support question. We should create a topic for that.

Rodinia:

You can log more than one visit of a site. 9.10.2025 Bauhaus. 12.02.2026 Bauhaus. You can see this in my profile.

Location ticking (that's what you seem to be asking for) is on the pipeline. But I have a large backlog and this feature did not exist before and is tricky UX given the amount of locations. I hope AI will facilitate, but right now, I need to update the basics first.

Rodinia:

That will come soonish and will be similar to rating. There is now a rating modal next to the top for logged in users. There will also be a visited button and then you either create a new visit or add it to a previous one.

It's probably being worked on, but I wanted to mention that on the WHS site pages, the connections for a site are no longer visible, i.e. when you click on the "View all" link under "Recent connections", an empty list appears.
