I've seen similar ones in Japan at natural WHS, but they seem to be missing the UNESCO logo as well (if it's only a name and some text with heritage site I wouldn't consider it a plaque), Can't see if that is the case here as well, as the photo is poor quality. Will see if I can find a clearer one.

I know it isn't the best quality, but there is a somewhat recognisable UNESCO emblem before the Japanese characters (similar to other stone markers)

I'm always on the lookout for the certificate type or those with all elements; but sometimes you have to make do with what is available (better than nothing :))
