not sure if i'm the only getting but getting lots of "Database connection failed: User slotsels_4_w already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections"
errors. on various pages and random.

then, if you go to /forums/
it shows the directory index. it's saver if you have that forward direct to the index.php....

The database may have been down for a short period, or there were too many requests to the (shared) server. I don't see it now, and the website is mostly based on generated HTML which will fix itself.

Experiencing the same database error problems again since the last hour. Have logged a support call with the hosting company.

We are blocking loads of IPs today. We have some weird access that needs to go. If you run into access problems, please send a mail to me <forum-handle>@gmail.com.

Okay. We blocked a whole lot of IPs (>9000). Process is automated, so we will keep adding more IPs. I feel the page is performing better already.

If you run into problems, write Els. But: The criteria are pretty much that you have to be trying some form of non standard use to be blocked.

Substantial IP blocks (9.000) are in place and growing. I think we evened out the initial issues. It's depressing to see how many attacks a small site like this gets per day.
