This topic is to track progress of the TWHS pages upgrade and exchange findings and new ideas.

Process
The to do-list for the TWHS in each country is:
· Is it an extension to a current WHS? Close reading of the description often is needed. I already added those with "Extension" in their full name.
· Are photos available? Look for them in the public domain or donate your own.
· Can we write 3 sentences of introduction text, starting with "[TWHS name] is a [what is it and why is it special]"?

If you'd like to pick up a task, "claim" it in a post below so myself or others will not work on it as well. You can e-mail me the photos and texts. Any interesting findings are worthwhile to be shared in the topic for all to see.

Done are:
- All countries starting with an A, B
- All C countries (excl Czechia).
- All countries starting with a D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, Y or Z

Claimed are:
Czech Rep -> Els

I'll continue with the intro texts of Albania

Albania is done now for texts, has no extensions. Could use photos for Bashtova, Apollonia and the tombs of Basse Selca.

Bringing this idea from Nan over from the homepage:
"Links to other countries' and former twhs. Could be squeezed into the description."

I guess you're aiming at an automatically generated sentence in the intro text like "Great Sandy World Heritage Area is an extension to Fraser Island". Is that right?

And: The Beech Forests (Switzerland) are part of a transboundary/transnational future nomination together with Beech Forests (Romania), Beech Forests (Croatia).

What would be the link to the former TWHS? To the ones that it has replaced (but they have no FTWHS pages anymore) or to those it has partly replaced?

Algeria done. No extensions, one transnational (Royal Mausoleums of Numidia). 4 of the 6 do still need photos though.

Great project, makes me want to write a few TWHS reviews. I'll post you pics for places you need as I can find them.

Just finished Angola. Needs a recap, 13 TWHS, only 1 WHS and a country we know so little about:

There are 3 Portuguese churches that should be combined into 1 nomination, playing roles in the capture and christening of slaves for the Atlantic Slave Trade. The same counts for the 7 fortifications, they could even be added to the churches as they are from the same period and are mostly about the slave trade. All have very limited information and also on the wider web I found little (some pages in Portuguese were the best).

The 3 newer TWHS (from 2017) have a more elaborate text including OUV statement. The description of Cuito Canavale has some nice communist and Cold War propaganda speech. The Tchitundu-hulu rock art TWHS seems to be the most promising of the whole bunch.

As per suggestion of Frederic M on the homepage, "to add the score (or the Favor %) in the TWHS table on the country page.", I have added this. As the table got a bit wide, I have altered the Extension marker to an icon after the name. Will also look into other / better icons to show this and possibly other markers. The TWHS table on the country page is now essentially the same as the WHS table.
See for example https://www.worldheritagesite.org/country/Belgium#twhs

(only the ordering is a bit off, see https://www.worldheritagesite.org/country/China#twhs will try to fix this)

Els how would you like these submitted?

It may take me a while (hence starting lower down the list), but I'll have a go at UK and Czech Republic, if that works.

I can work up text for the sites for the US if you'd like. I can also send over some pictures of ones I've been to, though I imagine there might be others who have some good pictures of US sites, too, so you may want to hold off in case any better options come in.
