I've just added an embedded Flickr slideshow to Esteban's recent, excellent review of Corcovado TWHS.
We are wondering however whether it is visible to everyone. I used a different technique from meltwaterfalls.
Can a few people check?
See the end of the review, at: http://www.worldheritagesite.org/tentative/id/1795
There should be a square with a rotating slide show of photos of Corcovado.

Yes - But I had to allow "Flash" (I don't normally)
How does that impact Apple users? A "blank" appears on my iPad screen where the slide show would be. Just accept it I guess if they will choose that ecosystem!

I'm guessing it is at the bottom of the review as I just have a large blank space there on my iPhone.

Looks like an extensive review will have to have a read through.

Same here on the iPad.

On the other hand the result was rather neat. If an equally good "platform independent" solution can't be found, it could be asked why the "Apple tail" should be allowed to wag the "Windows/Android dog"!
A simple link could still be provided for those Apple users who are imprisoned by brand image and loyalty and/or have too much money to swap to a more "open" platform! And I write as someone with an iPod Touch and an iPad acquired a few years ago but who has "escaped".
Talking of "Platform" - an "ideal" solution would also be easily transferable to other photo storage sites. I have c85k photos on Flickr but sometimes wonder if I might not have been better using e.g Google Photos - or at least doing so from now on.

I've created a new version: http://www.worldheritagesite.org/tentative/id/1795

Can all Apple aficionados see it too now?

It's actually done very easily: go to your flickr album, choose Share (the bended arrow), and then choose Embed. Copy the link given into your review and all is done.

Yes - it isn't "behaving" in quite the same way in either Windows or Android as the previous method - to get full screen for instance you have to go first into Flickr itself and it is now obviously operating fully within Flickr without Flash etc- but it is perfectly workable in all 3 platforms
