To all reviewers:
Could you refrain from uploading pictures that are very wide or very tall? Such as panorama shots. They mess up the configuration of the homepage, so I cannot display them. 3:2 or 4:3 or similar regular camera settings (either landscape or portrait) are all OK.

It wasn't only you Clyde, that's why I announced it more widely.

I'm wondering if there is some way of incorporating more photos into reviews on the site.

I know we can find additional pictures elsewhere but I think having more photos could be really useful. Whilst just allowing everyone to post any photo they like may not be useful, perhaps it can be helpful in pointing out specific aspects of the site or perhaps some useful practical info (a map/ access point to a useful route/ info board/ opening times/ bus timetable etc.)

I'm not sure if there are cost implications or quite what it would look like, I just thought it may be worth considering the idea.

There's a quick (and little bit dirty) way to do it now: if you use Flickr or a similar photo website, you can choose 'share' and then the option 'embed'. Copy the embedded text in your review at the spot where you want. That's the way I also display Christer Sundberg's videos.

I was having some problems with pictures and Flickr. Its so weird sometimes, but I think I solved it. Anyone know the largest size for photos on this site? Secondly, I have no idea why but my link for Seoul City Wall album only had 4 pics, the rest were somehow private. I think I fixed this, and now all 24 are there.

Els - what I don't understand is what format/size winterkjm used to get his lovely large photo of Seoul City walls to show on this site whilst my (and others) photos only get to show as piddling little ones!! What is the optimum ratio/size etc to adopt when uploading in order to maximize size??

winterkjm slipped through the cracks! (there was an error display a photo with a TWHS review)

Solivagant:
optimum ratio/size

The optimum would be 350 (height) x350 (width) to show on the site page.

I would love to show the same size on the front page, but there's not enough space to accommodate 2 pictures next to each other of 350px width.
So they are resized a bit on the main page. Some people upload in landscape and others portrait, there are many variables and I try to keep the table with new reviews/pics somewhat even in lay-out without having to do anything manually.

Alternative ideas are welcome of course.
