Hi Els, not sure if you are doing some work on the site, but the T-list pages seem to have lost their formatting, for example

Just thought I would let you know in case you weren't aware.

I had been cleaning the directory a bit over the weekend, but obviously I threw away too much! Should be OK now

Hmmm. I noticed some other strange things too this morning. I will look into it!

UPDATE:
the good news is: the data is still there.
the bad news: the script to display it does not work anymore - maybe a new version of PHP (the programming language) has been installed by my hosting provider; I have to dive into it how to solve it

UPDATE2:
the profiles (and other similar dynamic pages) are up again
one problem fixed, two to go:
- the submit buttons in forms (such as the login for users) do not function anymore
- the display of question marks instead of é etc

UPDATE3:
I've been able to pinpoint the root of problem #2. I am working on implementing it on all pages with submit buttons. That will take some more time, and especially affects the personal pages after logging in.

UPDATE4:
Most of it works again - such as adding reviews, updating your count etc. Only uploading photos I haven't fixed yet. And then there's problem #3 ("the question mark characters")waiting.

Done that too!

Only the annoying "question mark characters" left to solve.

I tried to update my old review for the Rade de Marseille, no luck deleting or changing the old review.

Any progress on why the "question mark characters" suddenly showed uo?

This should work now.

I know why it does, but it is not so easy to turn the old data into the new format.
There should be no problems with adding new texts.

Els, 2 Related links in Redwood page are not relating to the topic, they are about Moravian church and Christianfeld!

Well, as many of you have noticed: there was a major Glitch over the last 2 days concerning this website.
The problem was that the domain name (www.worldheritagesite.org) no longer pointed to the directory where the files such as webpages and pictures are.

It was the longest out-of-service period that I can remember from the past 18 years.

Everything seems to be OK now, I have paid the domain name for 2 further years (their autorenewal process did not work, so they put the name "www.worldheritagesite.org" up for sale!)

Hope it wasn't too much work for you.

Out of interest would there have been another way to gain access to this forum, as I guess it is built on a different host than the main site. It was a surprising period of "cold turkey" not having either the site or the forum to visit.

No, the forum is on the same host. The only difference with the main site is that it uses a standard tool (phpbb), while I made the other webpages myself.

"cold turkey"

I had so much time left! But it also was a warning about what I would miss if I stopped updating the website (which I'm not planning to, by the way)
