An update on the photo sections in general:
- There has been a mass of submissions lately, especially from Philipp, Kristin and Nan who are adding photos to official (serial) locations and POIs.
- What I aim to do with the carrousels on the site pages is to show at least 3 pictures that represent different aspects of the site. They also tend to be the "better" pictures, if I have several to choose from.
- The images in the gallery, marked under Locations, are where we try to be complete (so a pic for every (sub)location and every POI)
- I also have been upgrading my old reviews (which will take me until the end of March at least), so almost every WHS will be "touched" photo-wise in the coming 2 months

So just keep uploading to Images and they will show up on the site within a week or so.

Weird as it seems, we can use some more good photos of the Taj Mahal. I just removed 2 we had from the Public Domain.

Some 110 new pics were added overnight! Thanks mostly to Bram who has made his way around the world, including many Central Asian ones, the Russian side of Curonian Spit, Taxila, Esfahan, Levuka etc.

I've uploaded 3 location pictures a few days ago (2 Sacri Monti, 1 Spa Town). Do I have to mention this here or is it enough, when I just upload them?

It is enough just to upload them. The flow is actually that kintante/Philipp will look for pics for the locations and I do for the carrousels: they just show up daily on our screen. I think I have seen / handled yours, or did I not?
Sometimes I will not add when we have a very similar picture already or when I don't get from the title where it is. But I do add some 90%.

(update: I have added 2 extra of yours to the locations)

I just need a clear name. Ideally you use the component name as used on the website (e.g. Routes of Santiago de Compostela in France: Basilique Notre-Dame (L'Epine) ) for the image name (not the file name, please), so I can find them in the gallery. I don't do it every day, so a post here might help.

One of the photos in the Site Gallery for the Colonies of Benevolence is incorrect. It is the photo by Els of "Wortel Kolonie", showing the red brick building. That building is actually on the colony of Merksplas, which was cut from the WHS.
