After our recent discussion on hard to get to sites and most of them being islands, I was wondering what cruises exist to get to certain places. Maybe we can create a list of WHS related cruises for future reference?

Per cruise we should provide:
* Cost
* Itinerary, specifically visited WHS
* Dates and Port of Departure
* Website of operator

WHS Sub-Antarctic Islands (New Zealand) and Macquarie Island (Australia)

Cheapest bed: 8,450 USD + 800 USD landing fees (2022)
Departure: Queenstown NZL, 12 days, twice yearly (Nov and Dec)

P.S.: they have one or two longer cruises as well that stop at these islands, but these are obviously more expensive

French Austral Lands
The supply ship Marion Dufresne does four trips a year from Reunion. You can book a cabin at 9000EUR (shared cabin) or 18000EUR (single cabin).

Trip takes 1 months and visits 3 islands.

Aldabra (but also Stone Town, Kilwa Kisiwani and maybe Vallée du Mai)

Here the details:

* Ponant is doing this (among other routes all over the world that also touch remote WHSs)
* The "simplest" cabin (still total shiny luxury for what I understand) starts from 6220€
* Next dates are in February and March 2024, then to be announced
* 13 days, 12 nights onboard
* The itinerary starts from Stone Town, then heads to Pemba and its Misali islet (a small jewel, I can tell from experience, seemingly with a slight WHS potential...) and after that arrives at Kilwa (with visit); then goes through Assumption Island and stops from some time at Aldabra; then Astove and finally to the Seychelles, where it does not seem to stop at Praslin for the Vallée du Mai (but who knows), though it passes at La Digue and finally lands at Victoria.
* Remember that you have to bring (also) formal clothes and a special dress for the Captain's night...

So 3 WHSs on a string with an easy addition (Vallée du Mai), among which the legendary Aldabra. I was myself recently considering this tour as it seems very well done, or at least presented. Dates seem good to plan for it, and hey, I for sure need a revisit to Stone Town!

Wrangel Island:

As of 2021, Heritage Expeditions were running cruises to the island. They were running 3 cruises each August, 15 days each, from $9350 USD (previously https://www.heritage-expeditions.com/destinations/russian-far-east-travel/wrangel-island-cruise/) Departed Anadyr, option of flight from Nome, Alaska.

However, these cruises are not on their current website, probably due to the situation with Russia in 2022.

Henderson Island

This page lists cruises that visit the island: https://www.cruisecompete.com/vacations/visits/henderson_island/1. Only expensive cruises with Silversea are listed (starting from 23 days, but as a bonus also including Easter Island). Other cruises stop in the other Pitcairn Islands but not Henderson Island.

The cheaper option is to take a freighter (Silver Supporter) from Mangareva (French Polynesia) to the islands, about 26 trips per year, $5500 NZD return fare, 32 hours each way. You can fly to Mangareva with Air Tahiti, twice weekly.

I think going to some scuba dive locations are "cruises" too even though you aren't technically on a cruise ship?

For me those would be "Getting To" information for the single site. The cruise topic is more about longer trips, possibly ticking multiple sites (whs, non whs).

I'd want to include Cocos Island as it Takes more than 5 days. Dive trips are the main ones of course (as described by Zoë in her review).
But if you don't dive, one or two cruise ships will pass there as well.
In 2024, there will be the Silver Wind, travelling from Punta Arenas to Valparaiso: starting at 12,700 EUR, it does include a few coastal WHS as well in its 19-day itinerary.
Also, I have read in the past about a Costa Rican group tour "doing" the island. Let me see whether I can find that again.
