I know this might not soumd so exciting, but could it be fixed as suggested? So at least not to confuse TWHS hunters to much :-)

Better like this? https://www.worldheritagesite.org/tentative/le-troncon-bavay-tongres-de-la-chaussee-romaine-bo/
Maybe we should also remove the museum in Tongres (or transform it into a POI): it's in Limburg province, which is not among the provinces listed on the official page (Province de Hainaut, Province de Brabant wallon, Province de Namur, Province de Liège)

Oh wow, that's a good point I missed. In fact yes, to be coherent, since this proposal comes from Wallonie, we should cut Tongeren the same way we do not have Bavay (not to speak of the two endpoints Boulogne and Colognem which are indeed considered by the Wallonian publication I have on the subject). It's also true that there is not much in that area. Beside the focus on tumuli, the dossier does mention Taviers-Eghezée (Taberme) and Braives (Perniciacum), so later I can check for exact, meaningful co-ordinates and we will be able to call it a tent-day.

If POIs are a thing for TWHSs, I endorse pointing to the museum in Tongeren as such. In fact, by the same logic we should add other museums along the route, but Tongeren's is particularly relevant. While we need to keep Waudrez as such because it's coterminous with the Roman waystation.

After all of this, I really hope they will nominate this TWHS, hmm?

Noooo... I just finished Belgium! :-)

(though I suppose it would give me a reason to go back)

Are you up-to-date with the Vooruit too?

OK, for the two other locations mentioned in the dossier of the Roman road I have:
- Braives: 50,6363N 5,1453E
- Taviers: 50,6247N 4,9296E

Not that there is anything to see there after the excavations. Actually, in total I have 23 locations in Belgium, do we want to put them all in this tent?

---

And now for Les villes bastionnées des Pays-Bas, soon celebrating 30 years of tentative list: first of all, how were the cities identified? On the site page they are under "official locations", but the dossier does not mention any! They look well on point however, but for one error: Quesnoy-sur-Deûle has no ramparts whatsoever, the right one is Le Quesnoy!

PS: This website mightbe interesting to refresh the list, and according to it we could add Boulogne-sur-Mer, Calais, Saint-Omer, Avesnes-sur-Helpe, Aire-sur-la-Lys, Montreuil-sur-Mer (not to speak that also "Belgium, south of the Low Countires" are considered...).

Not really dying to. It clutters the country page with items that are very uncertain and possibly irrelevant as this isn't a possible candidate soon anyway.

The community identified them. I can't find the exact source, but it seems to be a subgroup of https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_de_fortifications_en_France#Hauts-de-France and I have vague recollections of apping with someone (Jasam?) about it. UPDATE: indeed, the source is in the link on our page, https://www.septentrion.eu/en/portail/114/septentrion-de-la-ville-forte-a-la-ville-durable.html

On the old website, we did not distinguish between the two. I change the status when I come across them. Will do for this one.

Fully understandable... :-)

Ooh, great! Sorry for my distraction. Interesting to see that there really was a project at some point. But the nomination of Vauban's looks like having sealed the fate of this attempt.

I have added the updated Kazakhstan T List locations 'as is' from the UNESCO website.
However, I have serious doubts about these 3 sets as the coordinates are imprecise and they point to nothing specifically on a map:
Monumental Monuments: https://whc.unesco.org/en/tentativelists/6913/
Petroglyphs of the Karatau Range: https://whc.unesco.org/en/tentativelists/6912/
Petroglyphs of Zhetysu: https://whc.unesco.org/en/tentativelists/6911/

Need a bit of help with Malawi's new T List locations:

Karonga Fossilised Geoheritage Landscape: the official location points to a town center, that can't be true for a fossil site?

Fort Mangochi and Makanjira Historical Corridor: can you find locations for the named forts, other that Mangochi itself (so Makanjira and Maganga)

What I can come up with quickly for Karonga:
the location in the town centre may possibly point to the Karonga Museum. A sketch of where the Dinosaur Beds, Chiwondo Beds etc are, can be found in an article by Timothy Bromage et al from 1995 and is used in other later articles.
I have some friends who know a lot about East African geology and paleontology, so I can ask further if you need more.
