Just wondering if anyone has visited the Archivo de Indias in Seville? The reviews I have read don't really sing its praises or even mention it. So I was wondering if anyone had visited. I notice it is a double site as it contains the Treaty of Tordesillas, which is on the memory of the world list.
I am basically hoping to find a new Plantin Moretus Museum, but think that that maybe a search in vain.
Incidentally does anyone else have recommendations for other small museums/ archives that are of exceptional value? From my own experience the Plantin Moretus leads the list but the Chester Beatty library in Dublin and Chicago University's Near East museum are also very impressive.
Also any other general advice on the western end of AndalucĂa (Cadiz, Jerez, Seville, Cordoba Donana NP) is warmly welcomed. |
