I think 2029 is more likely for this one - they have to follow the new path to nomination which is longer.
WHC 2029- Victorian Goldfields (Australia)
- Waldsiedlung Zehlendorf - Extension (Germany)
- Archaeological Remains at the Hoeamsa Temple Site (Korea)
- City of York: Historic Urban Core (United Kingdom)
While York seems to be cautiously aiming for 2030, if they are already going through the preliminary evaluation, if all goes well 2029 looks certainly possible.
"In June 2024, the York bid was successfully selected by DCMS to request a preliminary assessment of a potential nomination direct from the UNESCO World Heritage Committee. A response is expected in October 2025. It's anticipated that UNESCO will invite further clarification, with the final nomination potentially being submitted for a decision by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in 2030." https://www.york.gov.uk/WorldHeritage
