Sidi Bou Said (Tunisia) might be for 2026 based on several recent reports of a meeting to 'present the most important components of the file' on January 2025.

A few news reports breaking in Korean. So it looks like Korea will be making plenty of effort in the next fews months to ensure they will officially be hosting the WHC in 2026. No 'gift' WHS for the host. Korea plans to submit a nomination file before the February deadline to extend the Getbol, Korean Tidal Flats for 2026, which was always likely to be approved by IUCN. Still not certain about what city in Korea would actually host the conference.

"The National Heritage Administration is also preparing to host the World Heritage Committee in 2026."

Bastioned Fortresses of Raia (Portugal)

This one still seems to have to compete with Vila Vicosa which also has delivered a full file to the Portuguese UNESCO committee

Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan (Thailand)

Most of the earlier reports mentioned that the Cabinet should approve the nomination on 21 Jan before 1 Feb deadline of UNESCO, but I have checked with the government website, no agenda or resolution on this matter! But there is one more Cabinet meeting on 28 Jan so let's see.

This feels like Portugal may send both dossiers to Paris and then simply prioritize one candidature?

Either way, we should know in a few days if both nominations are officially submitted and perhaps which takes priority.
