Serial Transnational Extension of Moravian Church Settlement of Christiansfeld (Denmark)
- Bethlehem (United States)
- Hernnhut (Germany)
- Gracehill (Northern Ireland)

The goal is 2024 for a final decision, but the National Park Service rep states "I can't make any promises". Based on this recently made video, you can feel the excitement amongst the stakeholders. Representatives from the other proposed serial sites were actually visiting Bethlehem just recently.

From this possible serial transnational site, I have been only to Herrnhut in 2004. Not mentioning my Gracehill near-miss in 2018, when I traveled to Glens of Antrim from Belfast via Ballymena, where I spent around 3 hours waiting for the bus connection to Cushendun having no idea about the potential WHS material nearby!
What is very interesting that the cradle of Moravian Brethren in Moravia (now part of Czechia) https://www.moravian.cz/Default_EN.aspx together with the sites related to their last bishop John Amos Comenius in Fulnek, Czechia, is not the part of the nomination and has no chance to be included in my opinion.

Isla de Flores Cultural Landscape (Uruguay)

Looks like the next official nomination from Uruguay. The exact date is unclear, but 2024 seems more likely than 2023.

"The idea is to work on a two-year candidacy."

Greece - Mount Olympus

Greece will nominate Mount Olympus, one of the strongest brand names of Greece and tentative site since 1981, for its inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The file is expected to be submitted to the WHC and be reviewed in January 2023.

Just a technical questions (and since I recently reviewed Greece's tentative list): on the site here we have that the site was added in 2003. In the article it says it is a Biosphere reserve since 1981. Is this just a confusion or was there a prior version of the tentative list? Anyway, to be nominated after 20 years (as I feel it is quite probable) would be a long wait! Is there a connection for "long waiting times"?

There is: https://www.worldheritagesite.org/connection/Ten+years+or+more+to+inscribe -> but that's for sites that have been in the WHC process, so referrals, incomplete docs etc. For tentative sites to wait so long is not that uncommon.

Thanks, I could not find it using other keywords such as "wait", "long", etc. Doe we need a connection for the longest times of sitting on the tentative list? :-D

I know I'm probably in the minority on this, but I'd like to see this inscribed.

Further evidence this is a real possibility (though no guarantee).

Ambodifotatra Catholic Church of Sainte Marie (Madagascar)

"According to the ministry, an expert mission from the International Committee on Sites and Monuments (Icomos) is expected on Sainte Marie Island in March 2022 to carry out upstream studies to assess the site's outstanding universal value. The inscription request should be formalized after this mission, while the inscription file itself should not be examined by the World Heritage Committee until 2024 given the procedures that still need to be completed." Article January 2022
