Potential Nominations 2020

- Frontiers of the Roman Empire (extension) (Netherlands) Article Like July 2015
- City Walls of the Ming and Qing Dynasties (China) Article Link January 2016
- Hanseong Baekje (extension) (Republic of Korea) Article Link March 2016
- Semarang Old Town (Indonesia) Article Link March 2016
- Darmstadt Artists' Colony Mathildenhöhe (Germany) Article Link April 2016
- Phare de Cordouan (France) Article Link April 2016
- Metz Royal and Imperial Power (France) Article Link April 2016

*Plenty of articles project Metz for 2019, but with Nimes and Carnac also competing it seems doubtful. Article linked above projects 2020.
*Most articles have projected the China's serial "City Wall" nomination for 2020, though the above article mentions "earliest date 2019".
*Naganeup Town and Fortress (ROK) had been rumored for 2020, but with the recent failure of Korea's 2016 nomination and several competitors + no additional news? It seems more and more doubtful. Hanseong Baekje is not currently a tentative nomination, but will likely be soon.

Looks like the wooden church nomination will be pushed to 2021. That's 4 nominations in 4 years!

The so-called Hanseong Baekje [extension] will likely be delayed since its currently waiting approval to be added to Korea's tentative list and a fair amount of archaeological work is still being done.

Gaya Tumulus Cluster (Republic of Korea)

With the failure of Hanyangdoseong in 2017, it is already being planned for resubmission in time for the 2020 WHC. I have no reason to believe Gaya will maintain its slot, as the same thing happened with the Seowon nomination after a Deferral.
