Just loved this! :-) The judgment may be a bit harsh, though. Beyond the iconic ruined church, and the overall very slick restoration of its various monuments, I did quite enjoy Macao - in particular the area around Senado square or A-Ma temple. And it does still look very Portuguese. Are the casinos making the experience less "authentic"? Sure they are! Just as the Shard or London Eye are making the Tower or Westminster feel less authentic.

Yes, it is an over-represented category. However I want balanced representation between Mayan, Mysterious Latin American civilization (like Tiwanku, Caral) and colonial cities

Why should we have 10 labelled YES here? What was the argument again?

Category has 49 sites. 20% will lead to inclusion in a Top 200 (200/1031 total WHS), so about 10 to be representative.

This is right only if we decide we want to keep the same proportions as in the original WHS list. However, if we decide that a category such as Colonial is overrepresented we should be allowed to pick fewer than 20% of that category. In some cases it would be the reverse as for Ancient Egypt, where we chose 4 sites out of five.

I agree to this point. 6 WHS is enough ( excluding sites which got selected in other categories) to represent colonial landscape.
