Agree exclude from the 24 (not 25??)
Tauric, Roros, Iwami, Fray Bentos, Lope (for this reason), Negev

Bhimbetka? Perhaps we have enough cave art?
Sulaiman - enough holy mountains?
blaenavon - need a view on Coal mining generally

Ancient villages of Northern Syria - N - other sites more representive of late Byzantine culture, I think
Bamiyan Valley - Y - although without the Buddhas it's less relevant
Blaenavon Industrial Landscape - N- would rather go for Zollverein
Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape - Y - for its picturesque remains in the landscape
First Coffee Plantations - N - as per the other discussion, would go for the Colombian site
Fray Bentos - Y - as a rare example of a factory; also links to the history of cattle rearing in Southern LatAm
Gobustan Rock Art - N - would go for other rock art
Incense Route of the Negev - N - a bit niche
Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine - N - a bit niche
Kernavë Archeological Site - N - a bit niche
Kuk - N - as per the other discussion ; interesting for archaeologists, but not my first choice when looking for a travel destination
Lopé-Okanda - N - a bit niche
Mapungubwe - N - prefer Zimbabwe
Pergamon - N- other sites seem more relevant for Hellenistic settlements (e.g. Ephesus)
Röros - N - other industrial sites more relevant
Rock Islands - N - not sure this is the most relevant Pacific site
Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka - N- other rock art sites seem more pertinent
Saloum Delta - N- a bit niche
St. Kilda - Y - picturesque and iconic
Sulaiman-Too - N - not a fan of holy mountains; but even if I was I would rather go for a Mongolian one
Tamgaly - N- other rock art sites seem more pertinent
Tauric Chersonese - N- other Hellenistic sites seem more relevant
Thingvellir - Y - for its association with democracy
Yagul and Mitla - N - a bit niche

Here's the link to the larger Cultural Landscapes category, for those who need it. I'm not enjoying this category as much as others, so I may be picking fewer selections than this category warrants. Here's what stands out to me:

1. Thingvellir -- home to the world's oldest Parliament, and representative of Norse and Germanic culture
2. Pergamon -- highlights a city at a crossroads between cultures, with ruins from Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman periods of history.
3. Ancient Cities of Northern Syria -- purely sentimental right now, as these not only highlight the transition from the Roman period to early Christianity, but also show how conflicts put cultural treasures in danger (as does Bamiyan Valley)
4. Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape -- if you need to represent mining, this site at least shows the role copper and tin mining played in the Industrial Revolution, and is at least a very scenic location

One of the least inspiring lists indeed. I'd go only for
- First Coffee Plantations - remains of 171 historic coffee plantations, representing the traditional way coffee was produced (in contrast to the Columbian site we chose to represent Agriculture)
- Thingvellir - for its Althing, one of the oldest parliamentary institutions of the world

Bamiyan will (hopefully) get in for Buddhism.

I just noticed that "Cilento and Vallo di Diano" is missing from this list. This is the only (sub)category it is linked to.
Do we need to discuss it here?
Or are we happy with the "Maybe"-status it has just received regarding Paestum at the Ancient Greece category?

I think this is should be fine. I don't think it would score higher here.
