Solivagant:
I was surprised to discover that we have no coordinates registered for Qasr-e Shrin on its site page - but there is one on the country page

The confusing thing is that there are two Iranian TWHS for Qasr-e Shrin (one from 1997 and 2007). I have left the 1997 one without locations and added them to the one from 2007. Will add the additional ones that you discovered there as well.

The UNESCO descriptions of the 2 entries (1997/2007) are almost exactly the same - the word "Sassanian" in the earlier has been changed to "Sassanid" and the phrase "covering ? hectares" has been left out in the new!!! I guess the only reason for leaving the old one on our list is to keep the arithmetic straight - but agree we should do so and they both might as well have the same locations. If either gets reviewed (!!??) then push it to the 2007 one?

At first glance (comparing names only), the 54 locations now inscribed for the Persian Caravanserai significantly differ from the 28 we had earlier. It's quite a lot of work to add them all, it may take me a day or two. So consider the Persian Caravanserai page & map to be a Work in Progress for now. But when all 54 have been added, it would be interesting to see how they are spread around the country.

More about the Caravanserai: There is one along the way to the St. Stepanos monastery (of the Armenian Monastic Ensembles WHS) - 38.97746105277062, 45.57694000869883

Locations of the Caravanserai have already been uploaded to the WH website. They are very quick this year, every new inscription from yesterday already has a subpage including nomination documents, photographs and location markers.

Yes, I had them as well (they were in the documentation set). But still I had to type 54 names and convert 54 geographic coordinates!

Is it too late for you to keep an easily accessible list of the T List Caravanserai and our map of them? They are available on Wayback Machine. The list is OK, but, for the maps, only our "dots" show -not the Map background so I cant easily take a screen shot to aid comparison!

Have sent you a screen shot comparison of the 2 maps - shows a considerably wider spread across provinces even allowing for the extra numbers

Was that original line of sites roughly Esfahan - Tabas? with a cluster below in Yazd?

The clear line of orginal T List sites followed Highway 44 just below the Elburz mountains east of Tehran roughly Shahrud to Garmsar
the 3 southerly ones were around Yazd indeed including Maybod and Zein-o-Din which have survived and are likely (with Bisotun) to be among the most commonly visited Caravanserai if done "en passant". Originally there was nothing south or S West of that at all

https://www.tehrantimes.com/news/491226/Iran-s-priorities-for-UNESCO-listings-unveiled

"Implicitly unveiled" priorities for nomination:
- Iranian mosques (euh, another unfocused serial like Persian Caravanserai? don't see a corresponding TWHS)
- Persian Asbads (vertical windmills),
- the Masuleh cultural landscape
- Falak-ol-Aflak fortress (don't see it on the T List, only Historical Bridges are close)

Khorramabad's cultural landscape may gain UNESCO World Heritage status in 2024

I don't see the entry that is referenced in the article on Iran's TWHS list, but it's being described here as a candidate for WHS status in 2024?
